This little gathering began with me looking for motivation to begin rock climbing again. I stepped away for a while and I want to resume climbing while I still can. As it happens, my birthday became a nice goal to try and complete 62 climbs by 3/28/26. I’m inviting you to join me for a climb, be my cheerleaders, and gather together many friends I’ve met over the years.
Climbing is not required. But, I’ll have a limited number of passes for any first time climbers. Regular fee will apply for climbers. No charge for people not climbing-come hangout and cheer me on! If you don’t have a waiver on file, you’ll have to fill one out whether or not you climb. We are having a potluck snack table. Please bring your favorite snacks to share. Soft drinks will be provided.
Ok, that’s part one. Part two will take place at The John S. Rhodell Brewery just down the street. I used to have a homebrew supply shop at his first location. There will be a honey brown ale on tap made with honey from Hippie Hives Apiary-the honey my sons and I produce. We will have more of a dinner potluck happening there. Please bring a dish to share. Part two begins about 7:15, or so.
I have a couple other things I have in the works and will update here as they are confirmed
Maybe an official tattoo parlor for those inclined to commemorate this gathering in that way, a potential 3rd place with music, a Sunday breakfast ride… this is a work in progress-stay tuned!
