Re: Invitation to join climb to educate’s 10th anniversary events in Support of the Endowment Fund
On behalf of the DeKUT Climb to Educate past and present fraternity, I would like take this opportunity to express our earnest appreciation for your remarkable participation in the Climb to Educate initiative during different seasons in the past 10 years.
I doubly wish to laud your commitment, resilience, and representation of the University’s values during the evening aerobic exercises, challenge course activities, trekking, climbing and camping expeditions which helped to sculpture this noble initiative to become the leadership fountain that it is like today!
You probably may not have realized this but during your participation in the aforementioned outdoor activities; you inspired many within our small DeKUT community and as a result contributed to building a strong foundation for future outdoor enthusiasts and supporters.
As you are well aware, the spirit of Climb to Educate aligns with a greater purpose of supporting the DeKUT Endowment Fund, which is dedicated to enabling bright but financially challenged students to complete their studies and realize their dreams. Through this fund is our desire to create a lasting impact by nurturing future leaders and innovators who will contribute profoundly to our society.
In that spirit, we are pleased to invite you to extend your support further by directly participating or sponsoring a student to participate in our upcoming 10th anniversary events as follows:
26/07/2025-Single-Day (Mt. Kenya/Met station excursion)
10th August,2025-Single Day –(Aberdare-fence –Double letter “M”)
24th August, 2025-Single-day (Mt. Kenya Sirimon trek to Old Moses camp)
18th -22nd September, 2025-Mt. Kenya expedition( Sirimon 5 day expedition)
9th -13th October, 2025- Mt. Kenya expedition ( Sirimon 5 day expedition)
19th -23rd Feb, 2025-Mt. Kenya expedition ( Sirimon 5 day expedition)
2nd -6th April, 2026-Easter special-Mt. Kenya expedition( Sirimon 5 day expedition)
The events are designed to raise awareness and mobilize resources for the Endowment Fund. They subsequently shall offer our students a unique opportunity to engage with nature, hone their leadership skills, stay healthy and inculcate philanthropic values among other benefits.
Each student’s participation in the single-day excursion shall cost KS 1280 which covers the park entrance fee, packed lunch and a contribution to the DeKUT Endowment Fund.
We kindly invite you to participate in any of the events and/or consider sponsoring a (Climb to Educate) training student, a class, a club, or any group that you may find appropriate. Your sponsorship will not only enable a student to take part in this enriching experience but will also significantly contribute to advancing the mission of the Endowment Fund.
While no amount of support is too small when it comes to changing a life, your meaningful gesture could spark a lifelong journey of hope and opportunity for a bright, deserving scholar.
