Join us for Climb for the Fallen, a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi, on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
At 8:46 a.m., the exact time the first plane struck the North Tower, we will begin our climb of 2,200 steps, symbolizing the 110 floors climbed by the brave firefighters who answered the call on September 11, 2001.
Participants are encouraged to wear a weighted vest or ruck in honor of the gear carried by first responders that day. The event will begin with the sounding of a fire siren and will include a reading of the names of Mississippi's 9/11 victims, firefighters leading the first lap in full turnout gear, and a closing ceremony featuring a moment of silence and the playing of "Amazing Grace" on bagpipes.
Local fire departments, law enforcement agencies, EMS personnel, military members, JROTC programs, schools, sports teams, gyms, and community members are invited to participate. Teams are encouraged to carry their department flags, guidons, or organizational colors throughout the climb.
Each participant will receive a remembrance item, and all finishers will earn a commemorative challenge coin or patch.
This is more than a workout. It is a chance to remember, honor, and ensure the sacrifices of September 11, 2001, are never forgotten. Proceeds from this event will benefit first responders and Veterans in need.
We climb to remember. We climb to honor. We climb for the fallen.
