💙 CLIMB® Program: Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery
When a parent, grandparent or other caregiver is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family is affected. CLIMB® gives children a place to learn, connect and talk about the feelings that can come with a loved one’s cancer diagnosis.
This free, six-week program is designed for children ages 6–12 and is led by specially trained Penn State Health staff and volunteers. Through age-appropriate activities and discussion, children learn about cancer, explore their emotions, develop coping skills and connect with other children who understand what they’re going through.
📅 Wednesdays, Sept. 9–Oct. 14, 2026 | 5:30–7 p.m.
📍 Penn State Health campus in Hershey
👧 For children ages 6–12
🍽️ Dinner is provided for families
Each 90-minute weekly session includes a 30-minute family dinner followed by a 60-minute group session for children. Parents can use this time to connect with one another or spend time on their own.
