Climate Week NYC: The Future of Food Education
About this Event
On Friday, September 25th, join Food Tank and Pilot Light for the “The Future of Food Education" at WNYC-NPR Studios’ The Greene Space in New York City for an exclusive, invitation-only event as part of Climate Week NYC.
Confirmed speakers and performers include: Jenna Bainbridge, Broadway Actor, Singer, and Disability Rights Advocate currently starring as Nessarose in Wicked; Maria Caputo, New York-based Composer, Pianist, Vocalist, Music Director, and Broadway Music Copyist; Alexandra DeSorbo-Quinn, Executive Director, Pilot Light; Danielle Nierenberg, President, Food Tank; and many more to be announced soon!
The afternoon will bring together educators, school leaders, policymakers, chefs, nonprofit organizations, and advocates to explore how meaningful food education in schools can empower young people to make healthier choices, strengthen connections to food and agriculture, and inspire the next generation of climate leaders. Together, participants will examine innovative programs, successful partnerships, and policy solutions that can make food education a core part of every student's learning experience.
Join us for a live musical performance, a delicious lunch and networking reception, and important conversations.
