Thor has dedicated 17 years to our Cleveland Metroparks
Mounted Unit and is ready to welcome greener pastures for his
golden years. The ceremony will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m.
with a self-guided open house at the facility immediately
following. This will be held rain or shine as the ceremony will
take place in the indoor arena if weather conditions are poor.

Come and celebrate Thor's Retirement and tour the Cleveland Metropark's Mounted Police Facility. After the retirement ceremony Park staff and volunteers will be on hand to introduce you to the horses, equipment and Mounted Unit Facility. This ceremony and tour are of interest to all Cleveland Metroparks enthusiasts as well as Ohio Horseman's Council Youth Ambassadors collecting an equine activity, and people interested in a career in Park Service.
