About this Event
Our monthly Lunch & Learn series is designed to bring together mental health professionals from across the community to connect, learn, and strengthen our professional network. Each month, we invite a local clinician to share their expertise, introduce new perspectives, and provide practical insights on topics relevant to behavioral health and clinical practice.
This event is intended for professionals working in the mental health field, including therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, social workers, case managers, nurses, admissions and outreach professionals, and other behavioral health clinicians.
In addition to new perspectives and meaningful discussions, these gatherings provide an opportunity to build relationships with fellow professionals, exchange resources, and foster collaboration throughout our community. Lunch is provided as a small token of our appreciation for the dedication and compassion you bring to those you serve every day.

Susan Horvat is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician™. Seasoned in a variety of mental health settings ranging from nonprofit community mental health to private-sector treatment programs, she has over 13 years of experience working with individuals experiencing symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and complex attachment trauma. She completed foundational training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) under Shari Manning, Ph.D. and Annie McCall, LMHC. Her trauma approach incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR) and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST). Trained by Janina Fisher, Ph.D., she is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II). Susan owns and operates a private practice in Southern California.
