Clean Talk: A practice evening for difficult conversations

Frustrated by conversations where there’s a clear gap between what you say and what the other person hears?

Ever notice how the questions we ask shape what people actually say, before they've had time to think?

Join us for a hands-on evening exploring Clean Language: a deceptively simple communication method that helps us ask better questions, navigate hard conversations, and listen without projecting or assuming.

We'll introduce the model, show how it works live, then create space to practice it in action.

You'll be practicing with others, getting feedback, and using what you learn in real time.

You'll leave with:

• a deeper understanding of why communication breaks down
• the core Clean Language questions you can use immediately
• live experience using them in real conversation
• a small community of people who care about communicating better

Capacity is intentionally limited to 12 people to ensure high quality practice opportunities.

Good for: managers, team leads, coaches, researchers, therapists, or anyone who has ever left a conversation wishing it had gone differently.

Matthew has spent a decade applying behavioural and cognitive science in real environments, from challenging classrooms to Fortune 500 boardrooms, across teams and cultures in multiple countries.

Angela is a cognitive psychologist and neuroscience researcher who brings that science into practice through coaching, facilitation, and organisational work across cultures and high-pressure environments.
