About this Event
Curious about the health of Alamitos Bay and how community members can play a role in protecting it? Join us for the Clean Bay Collective’s Community Scientist Training Day, a hands-on kickoff event for anyone interested in learning how local data helps inform care for our bay.
During this interactive training, you’ll be introduced to the tools and methods we use to study water quality and environmental conditions in Alamitos Bay. You’ll learn how community-collected data supports scientific research, informs decision-making, and builds a stronger connection between people and place.
This event is:
- Hands-on and beginner-friendly
- Open to all ages and backgrounds
- Designed for anyone who is curious about the bay — no science experience required
Whether you’re interested in becoming a regular Community Scientist, supporting local environmental efforts, or simply learning more about the bay you love, this training is a great place to start.
