Join us on Thurs., Oct. 8 between 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. for a walking tour of the ancient Kuaua Pueblo at Coronado Historic Site in Bernalillo, New Mexico. We will lead people through stops at different stations along the interpretive trail where we will have examples of adobe block, puddled adobe, mudball, terrones, and natural clay structures. At each station, there will be building materials of each style so we can showcase the differences in clay chemistry. At the final station, we’ll have a mini adobe block-making activity where participants can make a block to take home as a keepsake.
This program is included with admission of $7 for adults and free to children 16 and younger, Tribal members, NM disabled veterans, NM foster families, and MNMF and FCJHS members.
