Clay Holiday Cards with Ricky Blanding Ceramics

Holidays are held dear when memorable moments are crafted with intentional care. Your raw and natural red clay holiday card will last a lifetime and always hold the stamp of who you are, and where your love lies. Together, we will decorate leather-hard slabs of clay with slip, coils, and tools to create elegant, richly colored relief sculpture, holiday cards.

Please note: I hope you have a great time creating these special ceramic holiday cards. Your works will need a few weeks to dry, fire glaze and finish. We understand this doesn't align with December 25 but valuyable things take time. Since 2007, I have been working in clay, pottery has been a main avenue for my creativity ever since then. Now, I get to create sculpture, architectural tile and small batch bodies of ceramic wares through Ricky Blanding Ceramics. Each piece is another step forward for my personal practice. Every season of work is a deepening of my own ability to communicate through clay.
As a BIPOC, LGBTQ+ person, I know the value of my individuality because it has been challenged and forged in not only pain, but community. The love that saved my life is reflected in the works I make. I'm grateful.
