Join us on Mondays for our 10-week beginner pottery course at Adamah Art Studios!Perfect for beginners! Learn the basics of both wheel throwing and hand-building while creating mugs, bowls, trays, lanterns, and more. You’ll become comfortable with clay tools, various forming techniques, and glazing to create a range of functional and decorative pieces.
Your class fee covers: 10 Monday night sessions (see dates below), one 25 lb. bag of DSM clay, firing for up to 10 finished pieces, and complimentary access to Open Studio hours for extra practice.
Ages 14+ (minors must attend with an adult)
Oct 13: Introduction to the studio, clay wedging, and wheel-throwing basics.
Oct 20: Throw mugs & pull handles
Oct 27: Glaze mugs, throw bowls
Nov 3: Introduction to hand-building, hand-build lanterns.
Nov 12: Finish & assemble lanterns
Nov 17: Construct serving tray, glaze lanterns
Nov 24: Glaze tray, design salt & pepper shakers
Dec 1: Construct salt & pepper shakers
Dec 8: Construct tray, glaze shakers
Dec 15: Glaze tray
Additional Visit: One visit is required post-class to pick up your finished work.
