Clay for a Cause

Clay for a Cause is more than just an art show; it is a mission-driven event dedicated to keeping District 51 arts thriving. All proceeds from the evening will directly support future Artist in Residence programs of Chipeta and Braodway Elementary Schools and the nonprofit Art Heritage programs, ensuring that professional art mentorship remains accessible to local students.

Attendees can expect a dynamic evening of creativity and community support:

• Student Showcase: A non-sale exhibition highlighting the imaginative ceramic works of young artists from Chipeta and Broadway.
• Professional Gallery: A curated selection of original ceramic works available for purchase by professional and collegiate artists.
• Live Auction: An exciting opportunity to bid on select premium art pieces and local items, with all winning bids going toward the cause.
• Community Connection: A chance to meet the educators and artists who are keeping the arts alive in Grand Junction.

These programs are dedicated to providing District 51 students with hands-on exposure to the arts, bringing professional creators into the classroom to inspire the next generation of Colorado artists. This non profit relies on volunteer teachers, a lot of donated supplies, and the generosity of the community alongside limited District 51 funding.
