Celebrate Irish dance, music, and cultural traditions at the National Music Museum on Saturday, May 23!Join the Clay County Cloggers, led by Grace Freeman, for educational performances at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. featuring traditional soft shoe (ghillie) dances and stories about how Irish dance traditions evolved in America.
At 12:30 p.m., NMM Curator Arian Sheets will offer a special gallery talk highlighting instruments connected to Irish dance traditions from the museum’s collections.
Plus, don’t miss the NMM’s newest special exhibition, “Of Thee I Sing: Origin, Heritage and Patriotism,” now open in the Jason and Betsy Groves Special Exhibition Gallery.
