JUNE 30th RESCHEDULED FOR JULY 6th

Clay & Connection is a gentle, hands-on workshop to explore how working with clay can calm the body and support nervous system regulation. Together, we’ll slow down, notice our breath, and use simple clay practices to reconnect with our senses.

Each ticket includes 1 Clay & Connection workshop AND one month of unlimited ENGAGE access for one adult.

With each ticket, you’ll receive:

✨ A Clay & Connection workshop (each workshop requires a separate ticket unless you are an active ENGAGE member) with Marsha Laird, proprietor.

✨ Unlimited access to all ENGAGE in-person workshops for 30 days

✨ 24/7 access to our private online trauma recovery community Healing Place @ Hesed

At Hesed Place, we believe kindness and community help restore safety. Share a table, shape clay, and learn small, practical tools you can carry into everyday life. No art experience needed. 🌱 Healing isn’t just something we think about — it’s something our nervous system experiences.

The Unbroken Potter

Why Clay?

🖐 Grounding Through Touch

The steady pressure and texture of clay provide calming sensory input that helps anchor the body in the present moment.

🌿 Slow, Rhythmic Movement

Rolling, shaping, smoothing, and molding clay involve repetitive motions that signal safety to the nervous system and help shift out of stress responses.

🧠 Whole-Brain Integration

Using both hands supports communication between the brain’s hemispheres, encouraging balance and regulation.

💛 Safe, Nonverbal Expression

Not everything needs words. Clay allows emotions and experiences to be expressed gently and creatively, without pressure to explain.

🌱 Restoring Agency

Creating something tangible fosters a sense of mastery and choice — two things the nervous system deeply needs after trauma.

At ENGAGE, this is not about artistic skill.

It’s about slowing down, noticing your body, connecting safely in community, and allowing your nervous system to settle.
