Clay & Convo: A Night to Make Something (and Maybe Meet Someone New)

Making friends as an adult in Las Vegas? Weirdly harder than it should be.

So we’re fixing that.

Welcome to Clay & Convo at The Pottery Shop — a low-pressure, come-as-you-are night designed for connection without the awkward networking vibes.

You’ll spend the session getting your hands in clay (think: small bowls, trinket dishes, or whatever your hands decide to make), while naturally striking up conversations with the people around you. No forced icebreakers. No name tags. Just something to do with your hands so talking feels easy.

Whether you’re new to Vegas, looking to expand your circle, or just want a different kind of night out — this is your space.

✨ What to expect:
– A guided, beginner-friendly handbuilding project
– A relaxed, social atmosphere (music, good energy, zero pressure)
– A room full of people who are also looking to meet people

👐 No experience needed — seriously. This is about the experience, not the outcome.

Your piece will be glazed and fired after the event and ready for pickup in ~4-6 weeks (because yes, you made that).

Come solo or bring a friend — either way, you’ll make something by hand and (hopefully) expand your circle of friends.

Please note: this is a handbuilding session, not wheel throwing. Ceramics is an unpredictable medium, and undesirable outcomes may include cracks, warping, separation at joins, or breakage in the kiln. By participating, you understand we cannot guarantee results.

$40 per person. ($10 deposit per person required to hold your spot; balance due in studio on the day of the event).

This is a one-part experience. During your visit, you’ll create your piece by hand and choose your glaze color.

Once your piece dries, we’ll fire it in the kiln, then apply your chosen glaze before it’s ready to take home and show off your handmade masterpiece (approx 4-6 weeks turn around).

This is an adults only (18+) session

⏳ The session is approximately 1.5-2 hours long

• No open-toed shoes
• Fingernails will get dirty and may break
• Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty
• No loose jewelry or items hanging in any way
• No rings
• Long hair should be tied back
