Honoring a Hero: A Veteran's Memorial for Claude Gendron
When: Saturday, June 27, 2026
Arrival Time: Please arrive by 10:30 AM
Official Military Service: 11:00 AM SHARP
Where: Veterans Memorial ParkCorner of Main Street & Lincoln Street Lewiston , Maine(Located right along the Androscoggin River by the Great Falls)
Details of the Service:We have finally received my father's official discharge papers and are gathering to give Claude the full military honors he so deeply earned.
Our service will begin at 10:30 AM with a time of reflection, where we will share memories and play special songs created in his honor. At 11:00 AM, the official Military Honor Guard will conduct the formal presentation and folding of the flag, followed by the playing of Taps.
A Note on Seating & Comfort…Because this is an outdoor park service next to the river, formal seating is limited. We will have a row of folding chairs reserved for immediate family. Extended family and friends are welcome and highly encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or folding chairs for comfort.Please join us by the water to help us finally present Claude with his flag, listen to his music, and celebrate his life and service.
