🎼 Classical Reflections: Paisiello, Mozart & Schubert 🎼Acclaimed conductor Wolfram Christ leads the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra in an evening of Classical elegance, lyrical beauty, and vibrant energy.
The concert opens with Giovanni Paisiello’s; Il Barbiere di Siviglia, setting a lively tone for the evening. This is followed by Mozart’s much-loved Clarinet Concerto in A Major, K. 622, a masterpiece of warmth, grace, and expressive lyricism. Performed by Alessandro Carbonare, principal clarinettist of the Santa Cecilia Orchestra.
The programme concludes with Schubert’s Symphony No. 6 in C Major, affectionately nicknamed the “Little C-Major”. Brimming with melodic brilliance and youthful vitality, the symphony bridges the clarity of the Classical style with the emerging emotional richness of the Romantic era.
