Peformer Bio: Daniel Marx is a German classical guitarist, researcher, lecturer at UTE Thurgau and one of the organizers of the Lake Konstanz Conference for Guitar Research. He studied in Munich, Cologne, Los Angeles, and Surrey, where he worked with distinguished performers, scholars, and pedagogues including Roberto Aussel, Stephen Goss, Pepe Romero, and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. In December 2025, he was awarded a PhD by the University of Surrey for his research on the Munich Guitar Society manuscripts, which offer new insight into 19th-century guitar repertoire and from which the repertory of this recital is drawn.
