What do Ravel, Mozart, Bloch, and Copland all have in common? Well, aside from them all being historically famous composers and talented musicians, (minor commonalities really � jk) they are all going to have pieces included in our upcoming orchestra concert on May 11th! Free classical music concert performed by the Statesboro Chamber Orchestra. Directed by Jonathan Aceto.
This event includes a special student showcase beginning at 3:30 pm that will highlight the performance abilities and finely tuned skills of our music students, followed by a grand full orchestra concert at 4:30 pm. This concert includes musical selections from famous composers including Ravel, Mozart, Bloch, and Copland. Each piece played will embody a different musical tone that evokes a color wheel of auras and atmospheres. Please join us in our Historic Emma Kelly Theater for this wonderful community event and brilliant presentation of music.
P.S. We want you to be as comfortable as possible for the whole performance, so if you are a little sensitive to the cold, please bring along a jacket.
*We keep our theater at a certain temperature to combat the heat from our stage lights/equipment and make sure our actors and performers are comfortable as well. Thank you for your understanding!
