Classic Series: Piemonte—Northern Italian Cheese and Wine

Nestled at the foot of the Alps, Piemonte is home to some of our favorite culinary traditions. Piemontese cheese is renowned for its unique blend of flavors, textures, and cultural significance. Three key factors make it special.

First, Piemonte has a rich agricultural heritage. Its fertile valleys and mountainous terrain provide ideal conditions for grazing livestock, producing high-quality milk that forms the basis of many Piemontese cheeses. In addition, cheesemakers in Piemonte have passed down traditional techniques for centuries, resulting in cheeses with distinct characteristics and flavors. And finally, Piemonte's diverse geography and microclimates give rise to a wide range of cheeses, each with its own unique qualities, from gooey robiolas to pungent Gorgonzola Piccante.

We are extremely proud to work with small cheesemakers from the region, and to showcase cheeses rarely found in the United States.

Piemonte is also one of the most famous wine regions in the world, presenting many natural pairings with their famous cheeses.

To fully participate in the class:
1. Reserve your ticket through Eventbrite! Purchase one ticket for each member of your party. The ticket price includes admission for one as well as a cheese plate, wine, and accompaniments for one.
2. Show up on the day of class! Class will begin at 7:30pm. This is a standing event in our retail learning setting. The duration of the class is about an hour and a half. After class, there will be time to tour our cheese caves as well as shop our expansive product selection (at a 10% discount!).
3. This event is for 21+. Our staff will check IDs at the door.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are unable to attend a class, please let us know at least 72 hours before the class is scheduled to take place and we will give you a full refund or a credit for a future class. If you don't let us know in advance of the class, you are not entitled to any refund or credit.
