Hamilton is a revolutionary musical telling the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, from his impoverished Caribbean origins, through the Revolutionary War (as Washington's aide), his rise as the first Treasury Secretary, his political rivalries (especially with Aaron Burr), his scandalous affair, and his tragic death in a duel with Burr, all while exploring themes of ambition, legacy, and American identity through hip-hop, jazz, and R&B.
