Classic Class: Chocolate 101—$75

Indulge your senses and discover the world of fine chocolate in this immersive tasting class. Guided by our own food educator and chocolate nerd, Adam Centamore, you’ll explore the fascinating journey of cacao—from bean to bar—while learning how factors like origin, terroir, and craftsmanship influence flavor.

Participants will sample a curated selection of chocolates from around the globe, comparing single-origin varieties, dark vs. milk profiles, and unique artisan creations. You’ll be introduced to professional tasting techniques—how to see, smell, snap, and savor chocolate like an expert—while uncovering subtle notes of fruit, spice, nuts, and more.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy stories of chocolate’s history, culture, and production. Whether you’re a curious beginner or a devoted chocolate lover, this class promises to deepen your appreciation for one of the world’s most beloved indulgences.

By the end of the session, you’ll not only have a more refined palate, but also the confidence to select and enjoy chocolate with a connoisseur’s touch.

To fully participate in the class:

1. Reserve your ticket through Eventbrite! Purchase one ticket for each member of your party. The ticket price includes admission for one as well as a cheese plate and accompaniments for one.

2. Show up on the day of class! Class will begin at 8:30pm. This is a standing event in our retail learning setting. The duration of the class is about an hour and a half. After class, there will be time to shop our expansive product selection (at a 10% discount!).

Our classroom coordinator will help you to determine if the class can be modified to accomodate your needs. The health and safety of our guests is a priority for us.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are unable to attend a class, please let us know at least 72 hours before the class is scheduled to take place and we will give you a full refund or a credit for a future class. If you don't let us know in advance of the class, you are not entitled to any refund or credit.
