Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet is the band’s breakthrough third studio album, released on August 18, 1986. Produced by Bruce Fairbairn and recorded in Vancouver, the album features some of their most iconic hits, including "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Livin' on a Prayer," and "Wanted Dead or Alive."
The album was a massive commercial success, spending eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and becoming the top-selling album of 1987. Certified 15× Platinum in the U.S., it remains Bon Jovi’s best-selling album and helped define the radio-friendly hair metal sound of the late '80s.
