Class vs. Environmentalism
A panel featuring Geoff Dembicki (author of The Petroleum Papers) and [TBA]
The climate crisis disproportionately affects the poor and working class, yet their role in combating it is often overlooked. This panel will examine how socioeconomic class intersects with environmentalism and the potential for the working class to spearhead a just and sustainable transition. With rising inequality, political division, and environmental degradation, our experts will discuss whether class solidarity can drive the fight for climate justice and shape a more equitable future.
Hosted by the Institute for Environment, Conservation, and Sustainability (IECS), this event offers a unique opportunity to engage with leading thinkers on the intersection of class and climate action. Essential for anyone concerned with environmental justice and the broader socio-political implications of climate change.
This event is free and open to the public.
