Drop Spindling 101 Do you knit, crochet, or weave? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to spin your own yarn for your creations? If you have ever wondered how to spin yarn, this is the class for you. Ginger has been spinning for 40+ years and can show you how to get started. In this class, you will use a drop spindle to learn the basics of drafting and twist. You will take home a drop spindle and raw wool to practice. This is a gateway class to other delectable topics in spinning, like using a spinning wheel, designing yarn for a specific project, and spinning ultra-soft exotics like silk, angora, and alpaca. It is suitable for those 10 and up and makes a great homeschool project.All
Materials Provided. Students get to take home ¼ pound of wool and a drop spindle
to practice. Age: 10+. Limited to 8 per class.
