Cooperstown Winter Carnival Weekend will take place Friday, February 6–Sunday, February 8, 2026. All are welcome for Clark Sports Center activities! Non-members need to have a signed waiver (by parent or guardian if underage).*- Free for members, non-members must pay for a Guest Day Pass.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6
*Race to the Top Rock Climbing Competition: 3:00-5:00pm (Grades 4-6, 3:00-3:35pm; Grades 2-3, 3:40-4:15pm; Grades K-1, 4:20-4:55pm). Test your skills to not only reach the top of the rock wall in the lobby at the Clark Sports Center, but to also do it before anyone else. Open to youth in Grades K-6. Sign up at the Climbing Wall beginning February 2, 2026.
*Kids Free Throw Contest: 3:00-5:00pm. It’s time to shoot your shot from the line! Free, open to youth in Grades 3-12 (Divisions: Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, 7th Grade, 8th Grade, 9th Grade, Grades 10-12). Sign up on the Gym Floor.
Adult/Child Bowling Tournament: 5:30pm. Teams are 1 Adult & 1 Child (2nd grade or above). $3 per member, $6 per non-member. Call 547-2800, ext. 108, to register or sign up in the Bowling Alley.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7

53rd Annual Smullens 5k/10k Race: Registration 9:00am, Race begins at 10:00am on Main Street and ends in Cooper Park. Wear your favorite winter carnival pin from the past years! Sign up for this event online or by stopping by the Baseball Hall of Fame Library foyer from 9:00-9:30am for day of registration and race bib pick-up. $25/person. Contact Event Director, Doug McCoy, for more information.
*Winter Escape Class: Join Gretchen and Ellie on the Escape Rig for a circuit style class that incorporates functional exercises with a variety of equipment. Ages 12+. Limit 22.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8
*Pickleball: Open Pickleball, 8:00-11:00am; Family Pickleball, 11:00am-12:00pm (children 14+ & adults).
Geocaching: 10:00am-2:00pm, meet anytime at Pioneer Park. Adults & Children (Group of children must have an adult w/them). Free. Learn how to use a GPS device in this high-tech global treasure hunt. Be prepared to travel by foot to various locations in all weather conditions. The Clark Sports Center will have GPS Units to share for this program.
Superbowl Sunday Benefit Ride: 9:30-10:45am. Join us for a 75 minute Superbowl Sunday Ride to benefit Helios Care! The ride is led by Gretchen & Edna. Register online with your $20 minimum donation. Additional donations will be accepted at the ride. No refunds. A minimum of 4 participants must be signed up by February 5 at 12:00pm. Ages 12+. CSC day pass fee waived for non-member participants.
