. The Clark College Concert Band under the direction of Dr. Doug Harris, presents their Spring Concert on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 3:00 pm, Skyview HS, 1300 NW 139th St, Vancouver. Admission to the performance free and open to the public. Donations to the Clark College Music Department are welcome at the door.
"Final concerts of the year are always bitter-sweet. We have to say good-bye to our members who are moving on, yet it is also the culmination of a year's worth of work. This year's Spring Concert is going to be spectacular...you won't want to miss it!
The first half will open with Gustav Holst's masterpiece, Second Suite in F, one of the cornerstones of the wind band literature. The opening half will also include several small ensembles, the percussion ensemble and our principal horn, Fiona Rice, performing the 3rd movement of the Richard Strauss Horn Concerto No. 1. The second half will be dedicated to th music of dance: Shelley Hanson's riotous Albanian Dance, the lovely bolero, Panama Viejo, and we will close the Leonard Bernstein's epic Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. We look forward to seeing you there."
