John Sparagana “Interference Patterns” comprises nearly 100 works in multiple media in which the artist remixes source material drawn from magazine pages, comic books, artists’ books, news images, and his own prior exhibition catalogues. “The Meditative Object” includes traditional meditative objects, such as Japanese mandalas that Buddhists use as visualization tools for spiritual practice, as well as objects such as Qur’anic calligraphy and abstract painting. “Art Hall Projects 1: Manuel López” includes drawings that depict landscapes and scenes of daily life in East LA. As is common in López’s practice, a title for the work will emerge as the mural nears completion.

Forest Hill is a California native, creates vibrant landscape and seascape paintings in oil and pastel, blending elements of realism and impressionism inspired by the state’s natural beauty. After a 40-year career, he returned to painting in retirement, now working from his Ontario studio with a focus on making fine art accessible and enjoyable for collectors. Ruthellyn Whittington is a Southern California–raised textile artist whose lifelong dedication to creativity and education spans four decades as an art and English teacher and school counselor. Since retiring in 2018, she has returned to her artistic practice, creating woven works inspired by photographs, dreams, and imaginative imagery, exhibited in galleries and art centers across California.
