CJA's 85th Anniversary Awards Ceremony

The Chicago Journalists Association will host the 85th Anniversary Awards Ceremony for this stalwart organization, which is dedicated to recognizing journalistic excellence, mentoring the next generation of journalists and providing much-needed professional development in a rapidly evolving media industry.
Highly respected within Chicago’s journalism and civic communities, CJA will present the Sarah Brown Boyden Awards, honoring the best of the best journalism work of the past year from news outlets in Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
CJA will also recognize the top local, woman-presenting journalist with the Dorothy Storck Award and celebrate outstanding journalists in the Chicago metropolitan area with its annual Lifetime Achievement Award and Chicago Journalist of the Year Award.
The event will raise funds for year-round programming that includes training and scholarship programs for college students; mentoring and media workshops supporting marginalized communities in Chicago; and ongoing professional development and newsmaker forums exploring current industry issues.
