Civilian Response & Casualty Care Course

The Civilian Response and Casualty Care (CRCC) course is a free, four-hour class providing strategies, guidance, and a plan for recognizing, responding to, and surviving an active attack event.
This class provides a coordinated effort through a “whole community approach” combined with the Stop the Bleed Campaign, which empowers civilians to provide life-saving medical aid before first responders ever arrive. Topics include the history and prevalence of active attack events, civilian response options, and how to properly apply a tourniquet.
The course is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, and Defend strategy developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT). All Town of Purcellville and Loudoun County residents, local businesses and community members are encouraged to attend, including school employees, students who are 16 years or older, faith-based communities, and civic organizations. Local first responders including law enforcement, Fire/EMS, and dispatchers are also invited to attend.
Classes will be held at the Purcellville Town Hall, in the Council Chambers Room, located at 221 S. Nursery Ave, Purcellville, Virginia. Classes will be limited to 50 students, with a minimum of 25 registered students needed to hold each class. Therefore, please share this information and encourage your coworkers, neighbors, family, and friends to register for this potentially lifesaving course. Each participant MUST register individually by Friday, August 14 to save your spot!
