Alabama State University will host a Civil Rights Summit on February 19-20, 2025. The theme is "Honoring the Past, Building the Future." It is free and open to the public.This important event honors the past while building towards a more just future. The summit features two impactful days of programming:
Wednesday, February 19
TRUE BLACK HISTORY MUSEUM
10 AM - 2 PM | Hardy Student Center, 2nd Floor
Explore a traveling exhibit featuring over 150 artifacts and documents chronicling the African-American journey.
Thursday, February 20
VOICES OF COURAGE
11 AM | Abernathy Hall, Deshields Auditorium
Hear from Dr. Lorenza Pharrams, author and staff writer at The Atlantic, as he inspires the next generation to continue the fight for civil rights.
