Civil Rights Advocate & Court Systems Training

Join us in person for an engaging Civil Rights Advocate and Court Systems Training. This event is perfect if you’re passionate about justice and want to learn how to navigate the court systems effectively.

Gain hands-on experience, connect with like-minded advocates, and boost your skills in a friendly, informal setting. Don’t miss out on this chance to make a real difference!

Participants can expect an interactive training with guest instructors from SPLC and ACLU, a small-group breakout session, an introduction to AADM’s Civil Rights Complaint System, and information about how to become involved in community advocacy.

The training will help participants learn how to:

  • Recognize potential civil rights violations
  • Document incidents and concerns
  • Understand basic court and complaint processes
  • Connect residents with appropriate resources
  • Support community members without providing legal advice

This training is part of AADM’s Community Defense Hub, which is building a network of trained Justice Advocateswho can help residents navigate concerns involving police, J*il, discrimination, probation, and reentry.
