ACE Basin Composite Squadron is holding an Open House to inform the community about the unique opportunities and real-life experiences the Civil Air Patrol has to offer.
Civil Air Patrol’s three missions of Aerospace Education, Emergency Services, and Cadet Programs (leadership) transform young people into dynamic Americans and aerospace leaders, focusing on leadership, aerospace, fitness, and character. Flight training, STEM, and volunteering in the community are just a few of the opportunities available to members.
Real-life leadership training occurs during every weekly meeting during which cadets (aged 12 and above) plan and lead with adult oversight and mentorship. Training is also offered in emergency services so members are able to participate in real-world missions like inland search and rescue and voluntary assistance after natural and other disasters.
