Your neighbors in Highland Square invite you to Civic Saturday Akron, a joyful neighborhood gathering to celebrate community and shared civic purpose.Music, Spoken Word, Inspiration and Reflection, Voter Registration, Civic Matchmaking
Civic Saturday Akron returns to Highland Square for a third time this year. We'll hear poetry from Xposyur, music from Kate Tucker, Civic Reflections from a special guest speaker, announcements from our community, and we'll gather in Civic Circles to share our thoughts on how we can build a stronger Akron together.
Stay after the program for the Civic Matchmaking Hour to meet your neighbors, enjoy free refreshments from local purveyors like Portal West Coffee, and connect with Akron organizations including League of Women Voters, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Summit County Continuum of Care, and more, offering resources, and ways to volunteer and support their impactful work.
