About City Steps: Remembering Chinatown – Boise’s Vanished Neighborhood

Learn about Boise’s Chinese history from the 1860s through the 1970s with highlights that include contributions to Boise’s built environment, economy, and community.

Each 90-minute guided tour begins and ends on Boise City Hall Plaza (150 N Capitol Blvd).

Each tour covers 1.5 miles. Space is limited to 15 participants per tour. Registration closes 12 hours before the tour's start time and/or if the tour is full.

  • Saturday, May 16, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, May 20, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, May 27, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
  • Saturday, May 30, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, June 3, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
  • Saturday, June 6, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, June 10, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Tickets

$10 for residents | $15 for non-residents

What should I bring?

This is a guided walking tour; participants are advised to wear appropriate shoes and bring along a water bottle.

All tours will start promptly at the time indicated on your reservation. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late arrivals, so please plan accordingly.



About City Steps

Refunds and Cancellation Policy
  • Refunds are issued if a City Steps tour is canceled by Boise Arts & History due to weather related reasons or other extending circumstance. Staff will make every effort to reschedule you on another City Steps tour.
  • Refunds made at least 7 calendar days prior to the start date of the event will be issued to the original payment method.
  • To change or cancel an Eventbrite ticket, go to your Eventbrite account, navigate to the "Tickets" section, and then select the specific order you want to change or cancel. You may also email [email protected] or call 208-608-7050.
  • Refunds will include the ticket price less the Ticketing Fees (which consist of the payment processing fee and the service fee combined).
  • Refunds are not issued when requested less than 7 calendar days before the start date of the event.
