Singapore is your playground for one evening. City Scramble is Urban Jungle Runners' signature team navigation race — part running, part treasure hunt, part photo challenge — and this edition doubles as our 3rd birthday party.

How it works: The race runs in teams of three, and each team picks its roles — a Navigator who chooses your route, a Photographer who bags the shots, and a Tactician who reads the standings. From the start on Robertson Quay, you'll be offered three landmark checkpoints to choose from at every step: play it safe and grab the near one, or gamble on the far one for bigger points. Reach a landmark, snap your team photo, and the app hands you your next three choices. Ninety minutes later, the team with the most points takes the crown.

It's a scramble, not a sprint — walk it, jog it or run it, every pace is welcome. The whole thing runs off your phone through a link, so there's nothing to download.

Then we celebrate. We finish straight into UJR's 3rd birthday — riverside beers and optional food at Good Boy George, just round the corner on the quay. Stick around, swap war stories, and find out who won.

Sign up your way: Register as a team of up to three, or on your own — either works. If your group is fewer than three, or you're flying solo, we'll add you to a team on the day, so everyone races in a three (and you'll meet a few new faces that way).

The details:

• When: Saturday 12 September 2026 — 5:00pm start (arrive 4:45pm so we can sort teams). Finish around 6:30pm, drinks after.
• Where: Outside Beast & Butterflies / Limoncello, by Robertson Bridge, Robertson Quay.
• Cost: Free.
• Capacity: Limited to 30 runners — first come, first served.

This is a self-supported event:

• There are no water stations along the route, so bring a way to pay for a drink if you need one en route.
• Bring a fully charged phone.
• Staying for birthday drinks? Bring a spare T-shirt to change into.
• Bag drop is available at the start, but it's left at your own risk — the organiser can't accept responsibility for loss or damage, so please leave valuables at home.
