The City of Wheat Ridge is proud to host the annual Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting! Step into a winter wonderland and embrace the joyous spirit of the holiday season at the City of Wheat Ridge's Holiday Celebration!
This FREE family friendly event offers an abundance of holiday-themed activities including roaming carolers, arts and crafts, refreshments, photos with Santa, the annual tree-lighting ceremony (6:15 p.m.) and more!
Please note, this year's celebration will be held at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center due to construction happening at The Green at 38th.
NEW this year, join us for our Community Tree Decorating Contest! Everyone is invited to decorate a tree in their chosen theme or design (decorations at your own cost and brought on your own). Awards will be given in four categories: Schools, Businesses, Organizations (Churches/Nonprofits), and Individuals/Families.
Tree decorating will take place on the front lawn of the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center starting at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 7 and must be completed by 3 p.m.. The decorated trees will be displayed for voting during the Holiday Celebration until 6 p.m.. Awards will be presented at 6:10 p.m. before the lighting countdown. The deadline to register and enter the contest is Monday, December 2
