Join us as the City of Waterbury gathers in unity to celebrate Juneteenth, honoring freedom, resilience, and the enduring strength of Black culture.
On June 19th, the Waterbury Juneteenth Collective invites the community to City Hall for a special Juneteenth Celebration and Flag Raising Ceremony commemorating the day in 1865 when the last enslaved Africans in the United States learned they were free.
This community celebration will bring together residents, families, organizations, and leaders for a powerful moment of reflection, culture, and connection.
