Tour Description: This will be an approximately two mile round-trip paddle where we will explore the creeks and shorelines of Freshkills Park and experience its wildlife while the site is closed to the public.
Your ticket admits 1 car. All participants must provide their own car that will stay on-site the whole time. Participants may not use a bicycle, taxi or ride-share service due to ongoing construction. Each ticket holder may bring up to 4 additional guests in their car. During registration you will be asked about additional participants in your car. Due to limited reservations, carpooling with friends and family is encouraged. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Accessibility: This tour will be an approximately two-mile round-trip paddle. Winds and tides at times can be challenging. If you have any accessibility needs, please let us know in advance so we can best accommodate you.
Plan Ahead: Be “tick aware” and “heat aware.” Wear sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy and wet, clothes that can get wet, and sunscreen. Stay hydrated and make sure to bring water with you. All participants will be asked to sign an activity waiver before entering the park. Those under 18 need to have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian and be accompanied by an adult.
Meeting location to be provided upon confirmation: We will caravan into the Park together from the meeting location.
