Back by popular demand, Roseville’s Sustainability Team is hosting the free two-day event to promote reuse in our community! 👚🩳👟
Shop the swap on August 27 & 28, 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Roseville Skating Center - Rose Room, 2661 Civic Center Dr
Drop off gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories from August 17 – August 25. PLEASE NOTE: No donations will be accepted before August 17!
Drop off location: Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Dr
All remaining clothes will be donated to charity. A large portion of used American clothing currently gets shipped overseas and becomes part of the waste stream in other countries. The rise of fast fashion - inexpensive clothing produced rapidly by mass-market retailers in response to the latest trends - is also creating more waste.
Events, including clothing swaps, can promote conscious consumerism, which is making purchasing decisions based on the social, environmental, and ethical impacts, rather than solely on price or convenience. It also brings the community together and creates an opportunity to talk about sustainability.
