City of Lights Film Festival 2025

Welcome to Aurora's film festival!

The 3rd annual City of Lights Film Festival takes place over 3 days in downtown Aurora, IL.

The fun starts Thursday at The Venue (21 S Broadway) for our Opening Night program.

Then, join us at two different screening locations on Friday for afternoon movies!

On Saturday, gear up for a full day of film! There will be three blocks of films and programs at three different locations--all in downtown Aurora.

Don't forget to ring in the weekend at our Closing Reception at Society 57 (100 S River Street), where we'll toast a weekend of community, storytelling, and the people that make up our City!

Buy tickets for individual films, for Opening or Closing Night, or mix and match! Join us all weekend, come just for the bookend parties, or pop in when you can. We can't wait to see you.

*Please note: We are a cashless festival. Tickets may be bought prior to events or at the door.

Info: Light bites provided. Cash bar for soft and alcoholic beverages on site. Bounce to House Music put on by DJ Tito Latino before the screening of MOVE YA BODY: THE BIRTH OF HOUSE MUSIC. Then, join us at the exclusive after-party at McCarty Mills Taproom on River St. to keep the vibes going. Food truck will be on-site. *The Venue & McCarty Mills Taproom accept card payments.
