WHERE: Meetup locations vary - please check event listing for your event location (View site map: https://snug-harbor.org/visit/directions/)
ADMISSION: All events are free of charge | Reservation requested: https://snugharbor.my.salesforce-sites.com/ticket/#/events/a0SQg000007WKUEMA4

Tree Mulching (12:00 PM – 12:30 PM) - Trees take care of you every day: show some respect by learning how to mulch them with compost! Mulching with compost allows for moisture conservation by slowing evaporation and increasing the organic matter that can hold water.
Tree Pruning and Maintenance (12:30 PM – 2:00 PM) - What are some basic pruning techniques and tools? Learn more about the technique and importance of pruning a tree to maintain its vitality.
Apple Cider Pressing Party (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM) - Let’s gather some beautiful apples and turn them into cider with the help of the SI Advance's Food Editor, Pam Silvestri!
Presented by Forest for All NYC in partnership with the Parks and Open Space Partners coalition and NYC Department of Parks and Recreation.
This program is made possible in part with funding from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Urban and Community Forestry Program, which supports and assists communities in creating healthy community forests to enhance quality of life for urban residents.
This program is supported by the New York City Council Community Composting Initiative. Snug Harbor and the members of the NYC Community Composting Network are deeply grateful to Council Member Abreu and the NYC City Council for supporting this crucial public education initiative.
