The City of El Centro Public Works Department invites students, educators, and community members to attend our annual National Public Works Expo on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Courtyard at City Hall.This informational and interactive expo showcases all ten divisions within the Public Works Department. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how essential services such as engineering, water and wastewater systems, streets, sanitation, and infrastructure operations support our community every day.
The event is designed to inspire the next generation by highlighting career opportunities in public works and related technical fields. Interactive displays, equipment demonstrations, and educational booths will be available, along with small giveaways for students.
Schools are encouraged to coordinate transportation in advance. Additional event details will be shared as they become available.
