Big Trucks and Big Fun!🚨🚚The City of Edina will host a “Big Trucks” open house 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at the Public Works & Park Maintenance Facility, 7450 Metro Blvd.
This free, family-friendly event is open to everyone and will take place during National Public Works Week, a week dedicated to celebrating public works professionals.
At this year’s Open House, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, including:
- Plenty of big trucks on display, like a log loader, street sweeper and paver, with opportunities for kids to climb inside
- Information booths
- Heavy-duty equipment and tools on display
- Photo opportunities 📸
- Kids’ activities, including a hands-on planting activity, coloring, completing a Junior Public Works Crew Member card and picking up a free activity bag while supplies last
- Free hot dogs, snacks and refreshments 🌭
Learn how our Public Works and Park Maintenance departments serve the Edina community in a fun and interactive way. City staff will be on hand to answer questions and talk about their work.
The open house will be held rain or shine. Registration is not required, although responding to this event helps us with planning. Parking will be available in the main lot, with overflow parking available across the street at 7400 Metro Blvd.
