City of DeSoto's Memorial Day Military Appreciation 5k Walk/Run

Welcome to the Memorial Day 5k Run!

Join us for the City of DeSoto’s Memorial Day Military Appreciation 5K Walk/Run as we come together to honor, remember, and reflect on the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes. This community event is a meaningful way to show support while promoting health, unity, and remembrance.

The 5K Walk/Run will begin promptly at 8:30 AM at the ARC (1400 Academy Way, DeSoto, TX 75115). Check-in and day-of registration will open at 8:00 AM.

Participants are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for check-in and warm-up. The walk/run is free to participate, and optional $20 donations will include a commemorative t-shirt.

About the Donation

Proceeds from t-shirt donations will go toward sponsoring a memorial wreath for National Wreaths Across America Day in December. This initiative honors fallen service members by placing wreaths on veterans’ graves, ensuring their service and sacrifice are never forgotten.
