As part of the next steps in the recruitment process, the public is invited to attend the City Manager Recruitment Community Event on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Tacoma Dome (2727 East D Street).The community event is designed to give residents an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates and share feedback. During the program, finalists will deliver brief presentations on their qualifications and vision for the City Manager role, followed by questions from City Council members. A community meet-and-greet will follow, allowing attendees to engage with the candidates and provide written feedback which will be shared with City Council to support their decision-making.
This event will also be available live on tacoma.gov, the City of Tacoma's YouTube channel, and TV Tacoma.
The Tacoma Dome is served by T-Line Link Light Rail, Tacoma Dome Station, and Pierce Transit Bus Route #42.
Free parking is also available at the Tacoma Dome in Lot A, with ADA parking available in Lot K. Please enter through the lower NW door.
