City Landscape Photography

We will start with an overview of landscape photography techniques, how to decide what to photograph, and how to compose shots. We will then move into camera settings and technical challenges to understand when the camera performs best for landscapes. You can use buildings and man-made structures compositionally just like trees or hills in traditional landscapes. Wind farms, harbors, cement works, power stations, quarries, pylons, and building sites are great subjects. The waterfront industrial areas and the Manhattan skyline around and across the river from Gantry Plaza State Park are perfect for this meetup.
