The city of Clearwater will host a candidate forum at 6:30 p.m. June 23 for Clearwater City Council seats 4 and 5, before the upcoming municipal election Aug. 18, 2026. Clearwater residents will vote to fill two city council seats. Al Ruechel, formerly of Bay News 9, will moderate and facilitate the forum. No comments will be taken from the public. The forum will be held in Clearwater City Council Chambers at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave. The public is invited to attend in person, stream live or stream after the event at MyClearwater.com/CityCouncilMeetings or YouTube.com/MyClearwater.
