Florence Fire/EMS is excited to announce our inaugural Citizen's Fire Academy. This will be an 8 week program that will allow participants to explore and learn about firefighting and emergency medical services. Participants will have both classroom and hands on experiences that will give a deeper understanding of the emergency services that Florence Fire/EMS provides to the community.
The class is open to anyone over 18 years old. The class is limited to 15 participants. Anyone interested must meeting the following:
1. An application must be completed and returned no later than July 30th, 2025. The application can be reach by scanning the QR code or can be picked up in person at 8101 Dream St. Florence KY 41042.
2. All participants must pass a background check that will be completed by the department prior to the start of classes.
3. The class will be 8 weeks long, Mondays from 6pm to 9pm starting on September 8th.
